Arbol Gallo
Project goal
The Arbol Gallo Festival is a cherished tradition for many Guatemalan families, marking the beginning of the Christmas season in the country. The Central American Brewery, renowned for its Gallo beer, aimed to create a grand Christmas tree that would serve as a symbol of gratitude to Guatemalans for their loyalty and to infuse the nation with the magic of the Christmas spirit. The goal was to establish an annual event that would bring families together, moving beyond traditional advertising to create a memorable and unifying experience.

The project was undertaken by Eshop, who utilized state-of-the-art technology to bring this vision to life. The iconic Arbol Gallo at the Obelisco in Guatemala City stands 45 meters high and 16 meters in diameter, adorned with 540,000 synchronized LED lights provided by Twinkly. These LEDs were meticulously programmed to create an enchanting audiovisual show, synchronized to the rhythm of festive music. The installation process involved advanced techniques to ensure that the lights were perfectly aligned and the visual effects were seamlessly integrated with the musical performance.

The current installation at the Obelisco, standing 45 meters high and illuminated by 540,000 LEDs, has become a central feature of the holiday season. Project specifications
The installation was managed as one grand object thanks to Twinkly's in-app grouping functionality: Join.
Because of the tree impressive sizes, it was mapped using Twinkly's Multi-view mapping, scanning from multiple locations around it to recreate a faithful 3D-layout.
Once mapped, the impressive video content was uploaded and installed on the tree using Twinkly WebApp.
Finally, the breathtaking show that captured the attention of thousands of people was possible thanks to the integration with the OSC system used by the control room.
