Our approach
To achieve this objective, 168 Twinkly Pro light strings were installed on the Vatican’s 29-meter-tall tree. In total, 42,000 LEDs were powered by 28 controllers. Twinkly smart lights were mapped into a 3D screen display to play a seamless, dynamic carousel of colorful, holiday-themed animations and effects adapted to the tree’s shape.
The results
The app-controlled Christmas tree installation in St. Peter’s Square has been enchanting tourists, pilgrims, and international audiences with mesmerizing LED animations for three years in a row.
